Exterior Painting Process
- Assist customer with color consultation
- Protect all areas where work is being performed
- Power-wash surfaces to be painted
- Brush/wash areas with mildew using bleach and water or TSP solution to kill mildew (optional)
- Re-nail loose and protruding nails where work is being performed
- Remove loose caulking from areas to be painted
- Re-caulk areas where caulk was removed
- Scrape loose paint from surfaces to be painted
- Soft sand all rough areas
- Prime exposed and bare surfaces
- Apply one to two finish coat to all surfaces
Interior Painting Process
- Assist customer with color consultation
- Move furnishings and cover with new 4mm plastic
- Cover flooring with clean drop cloths
- Remove receptacle and switch covers
- Tape exposed surfaces such as wood base, receptacles, lights etc
- Patch holes, cracks, etc with Durabond and sand smooth
- Sand walls, patches and spot prime as needed
- Daily clean up
- Use low-toxic Sherwin Williams Super Paint or Benjamin Moore equivalent
